Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

DeepCalm AI ("we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We follow data minimization principles, collecting only what is necessary to provide our services: (a) Conversation content you voluntarily share—text from your AI counselor sessions, stored locally in your browser (localStorage) by default and not uploaded to our servers; (b) Anonymous usage statistics—simple counters for feature usage (e.g., 'AI counseling sessions'), not linked to any personally identifiable information; (c) Technical information—your browser type and language preference, used to optimize service experience. We do not collect your name, email address (unless you contact us), IP address, device fingerprint, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely for: (a) providing and improving AI counseling, sleep calculation, hypnosis guidance, and audio generation services; (b) anonymous analysis of usage trends to improve user experience and content quality; (c) in emergencies (e.g., detection of self-harm content), providing professional hotline information and necessary guidance. We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, model training, or any form of commercial data monetization.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your conversation data is stored in your browser's localStorage by default. You can delete this information anytime by clearing your browser data. When you use the AI counseling feature, conversation text is sent to our AI processing service for real-time analysis. These analysis requests are not persistently stored—once analysis is complete, we retain no copy of the conversation content. We use HTTPS encrypted transmission, least-privilege data access policies, and regular security audits to protect your data.

4. Third-Party Services

DeepCalm AI does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking tools. Our AI model provider (OpenAI) is SOC 2 compliant, and data transmission between us and the provider uses encrypted channels. We do not share your personal data with any third party unless required by law.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to: (a) stop using our service at any time and clear all locally stored data; (b) request access to any information we may hold about you via our contact email; (c) request deletion of any personal data you believe we may hold. We respect all your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will post a prominent update notice on our website. Continued use of our service constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
